Marine Services provides the complete package to the film and television industry both in Ireland and internationally. Depending on your requirements and the complexity of the shoot we can provide as much or as little input as you require.
Typically we like to get involved from concept stage, where we can advise on the difficulties and challenges required to get the shots you require. We can at this stage also start sourcing any required hero boats or vessels and then provide an outline budget for your production.
As the production develops we take full responsibility for all the marine based planning, logistics and certification/licencing with any relevant bodies ie Harbour Authorities, County Councils, etc.
On the day of production/shoot days, as part of our package – we put the safety of cast and crew to the forefront by providing a safe and efficient working environment on the water. This can include access and work pontoons, crew working boats and licenced and insured safety cover.
All of our equipment is licenced by the Marine Survey Office and every life jacket we supply holds individual certification. Our safety/dive team is HSA approved, which is seen as the required standard for in-water operations as regulated for by the TV and Film industry.
We can supply any hero boat for your production – we stock a large amount of craft eg coracles, currachs, traditional rowing boats, speed boats and canoes.
Through our unrivalled list of contacts we can source and supply other hero boats such as Galway Hookers, Tall Ships, Sailing vessels – literally anything you require.
Marine Services have some highly specialised equipment, making life easier for the crew on production, including marine camera platforms, dedicated boats for the sound department and modular pontoon platforms.
Through our collaboration with the best operators in the business, including Black Betty Boats and Ocean Discovery we can now provide underwater photography and filming on your production.
